A seaside resort of undisputed renown, Bénodet is situated between sea and estuary, and bewitches sailors and water sports enthusiasts alike. Once across the Cornouaille Bridge, marking the border between Bigouden and Fouesnant lands, one sees its castles standing majestically on the banks of the Odet river. Where to eat: 'La Boulange' creperie, 'Le Domino' Pizzeria, 'L'Alhambra' (more classy), La ferme du Letty (very chic). Nightlife: casino, cinema. Bénodet offers a wide choice of restaurants and bars, boutiques, and of course the casino, the spa, and the marina. Nearby, Fouesnant, Beg-Meil, Cap-Coz and Mousterlin: 50km of hiking trails, 17km of white sandy beaches, footpaths, stunning guided nature walks. Why not make an excursion to the Glénan islands... Opposite Bénodet, Sainte-Marine is a small well-known yachting marina, with a beautiful sandy beach. From Sainte-Marine, you can take the launch to Glénan (from 9am to 7pm). Booking essential! In nearby Combrit, the Museum of Cider and the botanical park of Cornouaille. Lying beside the Odet river, on the edge of Bigouden country, Combrit is a village offering all amenities, ideally located between Bénodet and Pont L'Abbé. If you fancy a drink: Café de la Cale has the nicest terrace in Sainte-Marine, Café du Port, Brasserie de la Mer (Jazz in July-August), and the creperie La Misaine, which has lots of specialties. Nightclub: La Chaumière in Sainte-Marine.
